Newcastle United chairman Chris Mort says Newcastle kids should look up to the England Under-21 skipper, because he is set for greatness.
Mort: "I'm delighted with the progress Steven's making, and indeed of the young Geordies we're developing in the Academy side.
"Steven's absolutely black-and-white in terms of his loyalty, and the more players we can develop like that through our Academy system, the better."
Let's hope he has an Alan Shearer mentality and snubs Manchester United. Because rumour suggests United and Liverpool are keeping tabs on the youngster.
