Fabio Capello is looking towards his first game in charge of England (against Switzerland at Wembley next month), and suggested he could try out some new blood, after saying he knows all about Owen.

The Toon striker has just netted once in the Magpies' last 11 outings, but Capello knows Owen tends to say his best performances for the England shirt.
The former Real Madrid and Liverpool ace is fit again after a thigh injury, and with the England friendly looming, Toon fans are expecting him to make an appearance ... then be injured for the rest of the season.

"He's fit enough, definitely sharp enough and maybe going to England will give him more opportunities.
