Let's Get Facts Right - Ashley Kicks Out McMahon Bid!

The Singapore-based consortium had been one of the leading candidates to take over at St James' Park as Mike Ashley looks to sell the club.

But Toon fans working in Singapore e-mailed us to say they didn't believe the consortium - led by ex-Liverpool defender Steve McMahon - would take over the club because of derisory comments made by McMahon on Singapore TV.

The fact of the matter is ... the were time wasters - the group were unable to provide proof of funding of £100million needed to purchase the Magpies.

Ashley made it clear - "make your bid but you MUST prove you can come up with the money".

The group had stated their intention to bid for the club and to appoint Alan Shearer as manager, but obviously haven't got the money to back the bullshit.

Nobody ... and I mean NOBODY ... hates Mike Ashley more than us at NUMad.

Strong words and we mean them. But Ashley is not to blame for this blunder!
