Sebastien Bassong knows versatility can be his biggest strength as he bids to establish himself at Newcastle United.

The central defender replaced the injured Jose Enrique at left-back in Newcastle's last game away to Arsenal, and he could have to fill in there again when Hull City visit St James's Park tomorrow.

Bassong: "I am not used to playing there, but if the manager puts me on the pitch in that place, I am happy to play.

"We have some injuries, but the players who are fit are trying really hard.

"All the games are very important. We need to win, and I hope to play at St James's Park."
