Anyone who knows Clarky will testify his love of black and white. And if you happened to see him down the Bigg Market on Sunday's during the early 1990s (Vaults bar), you will also know of his hate of anything RED and white!

He has told his youngsters that results are not that important at Reserve team level, but good performances are the main priority. After all, you never know who is watching.

But he said yesterday "playing against Sunderland I want a RESULT!"

Lee Clark: "I thought the character, commitment and desire of our side was excellent.

"Both individually and as a team the players could easily have thrown the towel in after a poor start to the second half but they regrouped and the two goals we scored would have graced any stadium."

Opposite number Kevin Richardson: "You're greedy, you always want the win, but derbies are difficult games, you're in each other's faces and I was pleased with the way we tried to play football, even if in the second half at times we didn't do as well as we wanted."
