Shefki Kuqi: “It was nice to hear the crowd react to me in such a friendly way.

“Honestly, I couldn’t ask for anything better, not just in the football club, but outside.

“People are really friendly, and it just makes you feel relaxed and to want to do so much for this club.

“I have to say I’ve played for a few clubs.

“One club, Ipswich, has always stayed in my heart for good reason.

“I’ve been here for such a short time, but I feel I’ve been here for ages. The people here and the lads I’m working with every day have made me feel like I’ve been here so long.

“This will be a special club for me.

“It’s the biggest club I’ve played for in my career, without a shadow of a doubt, and the best supporters I’ve played in front of.

“I just hope I can help in any game. If I can, it will be a great pleasure for me.

“We’ll try to win as many games as we can to give something to these fans.

“They deserve that.

“The way they support this club as a group of fans, they deserve something special.

“We’ve got some really good games between now and the end of the season, and hopefully we’ll give them something to cheer about.

“I’m ready.

“I’ve enjoyed every minute I’ve played here.

“If I get a chance and I can help the team, I’ll be the happiest man.

“That’s why I want to keep myself ready and fit.

“Against Arsenal I played 75 minutes, and I felt I could have played another 75 minutes.

“I felt really good.”
