Kleberson deal dead

I want to join the Toon!
Officials of Kleberson’s club Atletico Paranaense were due in Newcastle to negotiate the sale of the midfielder on Tuesday, but failed to show up for their meeting with Freddy Shepherd.

With Freddy already annoyed with the Brazilian club after his treatment in Sao Paolo last month, it is unlikely that he’ll have anything to do with them in the future.

So press reports that a pre-contract arrangement had already been reached with Atletico appear to be incorrect and the chances of Kleberson becoming a United player zero.

So if you want to see a World Cup winner at St James’ then you better keep your fingers crossed that Arsene Wenger selects Gilberto Silva on Sunday.

Frankly I’d be happier to see Ray Parlour playing!
