Keegan: 'What Chance Have I Got?'

Kevin Keegan: "Chelsea have had a great season, their manager has had a fantastic season and despite that, he seems to be not doing a very good job there.

"All I can say is it makes the rest of us look very vulnerable if Avram Grant is in trouble.

"I think he has got charisma, he is just not Jose Mourinho or Sir Alex Ferguson or Rafa Benitez.

"He has had a really tough ride, and I don't know why.

"What are managers going to be judged by? How well they speak on TV? How many jokes they tell? How well they get on with the media? Or are they going to be judged on results?

"If they are going to be judged on how well they get on with the media, all of us will struggle because at times, we all have problems with that.

"But as far as results go and what he came into and what he has achieved, wow, you cannot really knock him.

"I struggle to understand it - but then he is not being knocked by people within the game, he is respected.

"I met him when he came to Manchester City's ground and I was very impressed with him then.

"I don't think it's a surprise to people who know him that he has done a good job.

"The surprise is that he has taken so much flak in doing a good job because it doesn't help people like myself and all the managers who can't win 35 out of 40 games and can't get to the Champions League final.

"It makes you think we must all be under threat, which we are, of course."
