Keegan Warned Ashley About Armageddon!

Keegan saw through the cracks and gave Ashley a blueprint for success.

That was the point Ashley turned to Dennis Wise in an effort to plough forward and bypass KK on their vision for a Newcastle future.

The Poisoned Dwarf would eventually sneak into Keegan's Hush Puppies and we could win the Champions League within two years.

Well ... that's what happened when Ashley played Championship Manager on his computer ... and it was easy peazy.

However ... in the real world ... things didn't quite as well as Ashley had planned.

Keegan, having seen through Wise's dastardly plan, jumped ship in September in protest at what he saw as a kamikaze recruitment policy, and boy was that an understatement.

Now we are on par with the 1988/9 season ... eight games to go and 29 points in the bag.

Duggie Pearson has e-mailed to ask us what happened that infamous 1988/9 season with eight games to go.
