Keegan Does Not Want 'Biggest Name In Football'!

Old Newcastle coach Derek Fazackerley says he has not had a job offer from Kevin Keegan and he will not be joining the Newcastle United revolution.

The current Manchester City coach was No2 to Keegan in his previous stint at St James' Park.

Fazackerley: "I have not been offered a job at Newcastle.

"Kevin is not the sort of bloke to go into a new job and hire and fire immediately. He didn't do that here with Willie Donachie after he took over from Joe Royle. The two worked together for a while before they decided it wouldn't pan out.

"Kevin will let the coaches up there have a crack at things and will then make his mind up.

"I haven't spoken to him about a job. What has been written and said is just pure speculation based on our previous working relationships with Newcastle, City and England. People forget that I didn't work with him at Fulham.

"In any case I am very happy at City to have been given the opportunity by Sven to get back out on the training ground and show what I can do and hopefully he has been pleased with my input.

"We are having a fine season and all that matters now is to keep that going until May."
