Jones waits on Cort verdict

Jones is keen to have Cort as cover for injury-prone strike duo Nathan Blake and George Ndah, as Wolves attempt to clinch a play-off place.

But with Michael Chopra making a temporary move to Watford and the threat of suspension hanging over Craig Bellamy Sir Bobby has asked for some time to consider the move.

"We are thinking about it," Sir Bobby told the Evening Chronicle. "However, my main concern is not Wolves but Newcastle United, and I have got to make sure we are well covered up front if we have any injuries."

It would certainly be a good thing for Cort to get some first team games under his belt, especially as Sir Bobby has previously said that he has no intention of selling him, but frankly I’d rather we didn’t help out Wolves.
