Is Stephen Carr good enough? - Toon poll results

Stephen Carr was a good signing – that is according to the results of our poll we ran last week.

47% of readers voted that Carr was a good signing, with 26% of the votes each going to those who were still undecided and those who thought he was a bad signing.

After Sunday’s performance, his best for the club so far, many ‘undecided’ fans may have stepped down from the fence and sided with the 47% majority.

Carr was good against Man City, he crossed well for Shearer on two occasions – something Big Al had become used to was living without was decent deliveries from the right wing.

The former Spurs man must maintain this attacking form. He was heralded as an attacking full back upon his arrival in the summer, and bar Southampton, we had seen precious little of this forward flair until Sunday.

His aggression and communication have impressed above all else thus far, lets hope Carr is spurred on by Sunday’s performance and starts to show us exactly what he has that is better than what Aaron Hughes had to offer last year.
