Now the Newcastle United goalkeeper is to become the latest Magpie legend to be immortalised at St James Metro station, in a ceremony at the station on Thursday 15 July (2.15pm).
Harper will have his handprints permanently cast at the station, putting him alongside famous names including Alan Shearer, Malcolm Macdonald, Shay Given and the late Sir Bobby Robson.

"With both Shay and I in the same goal, the likes of Alan and Malcolm will find it tough to score!"
