Andy Carroll: "Of course the World Cup is massive and everybody wants to be in it.

"I've just got to perform well here to get into the squad and it's in my head that there is a chance for me to go. I'd be devastated if I missed out to be honest.

"It was great to be away at the Euros (in 2012), playing with the best players in Europe.

"Now I've got to work hard and I'll have a chance to play with the best in the world.

"That's a great incentive for me to do as well as I possibly can for West Ham.

"I just want to stay fit, as every player does.

"I've been plagued with injuries, but I'm just going to forget about that and not worry about injuries at all, play in all the games and try to do well, create chances, score goals and get us well clear of the bottom.

"I cannot wait for the game. It's a big game for us and for me personally it's even bigger because I've got my family down and everything, so I'm looking forward to it.

"It will be great to get a few more minutes on the pitch, like I said, and hopefully we can get another win.

"For me, it's been tough being out for so long and it's been disappointing for the team not doing so well. For us to get another win under our belts this afternoon would be good for us all."
