Inter out of Champions League

With the first leg ending goalless Andriy Shevchenko’s away goal in first-half injury time was enough to send AC Milan into the final in Manchester on May 28.

Inter though demonstrated the full range of their diving, cheating and whinging skills, with Craig Bellamy’s pal Marco Materazzi incredibly lucky to stay on the pitch after a wild kick at Shevchenko.

But their antics did provide the ITV commentary team with some nice material, including:

"Materazzi a player who always seems to be between suspensions."

"Recoba getting involved there. He could do with getting involved in the game a bit more."

"He could start a confrontation in an empty house that Materazzi."

And after a comical free kick from Materazzi: "Oh dear Materazzi. Everton fans won’t be surprised."
