If Shearer 'Bottles' Rovers He Will Rue The Day!

Apparently Shearer is undecided whether to quit the comfort of the TV studio and take the plunge into management at his old club Blackburn Rovers.

And that could be the biggest mistake of his life, because Blackburn is tailor-made for him.

The 37-year old, heads the shortlist to succeed Mark Hughes at Ewood Park, where his goals helped land the 1995 Premier League title.

He has had preliminary talks with Blackburn, who have trimmed a 40-strong list to a handful of prime candidates.

But having already rejected a coaching role at Newcastle, the former England striker turned BBC pundit is not convinced he can step into Hughes' footsteps.

Instead he could join the list of NON-managers who haven't got the bottle to step into management ... but tell the likes of Ferguson, Wenger, Mourinho and Benitez where they are going wrong.

Yes, the gutless couch potatoes that include: Hanson, Dixon, Lawrenson, Wright, Peacock, etc ... none of which dare take over the hot seat ... but advise those that do.

Former Newcastle player Kevin Gallacher warned Shearer: "He has to be careful not to leave it too long.

"The longer he stays in the TV studio, the more difficult he might find it in management.

"I know he's enjoying his break from the game but it's bound to be in his blood and I would imagine he's itching for a chance to get back in."
