Joey Barton might face four months on the sidelines after foot surgery.

Chris Hughton: "Joey's had some surgery to his fourth metatarsal, and he could be out for a period up to four months.

"That's very much a blow for us.

"It's something we didn't think would be the case. It's something he's been carrying for a little while now, but at least we know now. We just have to crack on."
