Hughton For England? Don't Rule It Out!

I still don't under why the BBC pundits tip Shearer for the job ... because what has he done to deserve it?

He sits with the rest of the muppets - Hanson, Dixon, Lawrenson and 'Big Lugs' - none of which have the BALLS to go into management - yet they try and tell the British public they have the knowledge to criticize those that DO have the balls!

I'm sure Barton will be laughed at for suggesting Hughton is good enough for the England job - but the lad does have a valid point.

We are not blessed with good English-born managers, are we? But Hughton is certainly as good as (if not better) than 95% of them.

Joey Barton feels that Chris Hughton could soon be a “wanted man”.

Joey Barton: “We want to be careful that England or Ireland don’t come knocking for him, to be honest.

“He’s done fantastically well for Newcastle and that’s been said on umpteen occasions.

“Every manager is different – he does it quietly and in his way.

“As I say, we probably want to be careful that England or Ireland don’t try to take him off us.

“I don’t know what he’d do then! Being a Cockney he might choose England!

“But he’s done really well.

“He’s a quiet man off the pitch, but he’s loud when he needs to be.

“I can say every good thing in the book about him, but the results are there for everybody to see.

“As a manager in his own right he’s won the Championship by a country mile, and it isn’t an easy league to win. If you can do that you’re an excellent manager.”
