Chris Hughton: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the time I’ve been here, and I’d like to stay as long as possible.

"We’re trying to make progress.

"Is it the end of the world if we don’t get a result on Sunday?

"Of course it’s not, but what I wouldn’t do is have that lack of respect for the supporters and not know what this game means to them.

“I know what it means to the Newcastle supporters, and we’re trying our best to win it.

“I know what it means having been brought up at Tottenham, and knowing what the Tottenham-Arsenal derby means.

“If I look at the proximity of the two areas and the history, I fully understand.

“No player from either team will need motivating for this game.”
