How Times Have Changed For Nicky Butt!

The midfielder took two years to adjust to life away from Old Trafford and his first season at St James' Park must have been a huge culture shock after winning so many medals with Man Utd.

But that season was not his lowest point ... he was loaned out to Birmingham and they were relegated!

But last season we saw some of the form that made him a Man Utd favourite.

Butt: "We've got to get as high up the table as we can. I know we say that every year.

"But if you add a few quality players to our squad, we've got as good a chance as anybody as getting near the top four. And that has to be our aim next year.

"Kevin has changed the environment a lot here. We do more off-the-cuff type of things.

"The manager has an 'enjoy your football' type of attitude, but is also very professional."
