High Tech View From The Stands And Dug Out

Big Sam has had two TV monitors installed in the United dug-out and another couple beside his seat next to chairman Chris Mort in the directors' box.

According to the Chronicle, who have seen the set-up, claim this has several advantages.

Allardyce will be able to watch play-backs of any controversial incidents' and they say "he will not be slow to let any match officials know if he has seen that they have got it wrong".

All very well, but that could just add to the frustration, as Fulham saw on Saturday. A manager cannot influence a game by complaining on events he has seen and the assistant hasn't.

The only way the game will move forward is if the REFEREE sees the video footage, or someone with the technology can stop the game as the incident happens.

I'm sure Sam has had the monitors put in place to watch the performance of the players ... not the referee!
