Heinze No Go!

Apparently the Manchester United defender is considering his future. But it is not in Sir Alex Ferguson's reasoning to 'gift' one of his top players to another Premiership club.

The Argentina international has been linked with United's north-west rivals Liverpool, and there is more chance of the Red Devils selling him to Wallsend Boys Club! That ... I can promise you ... will not happen. Manchester United players only end up at Anfield via some other route (such as Paul Ince).

However, continental giants Real Madrid, AC Milan and Barcelona are also keeping tabs on him. And that is more to United's liking.

The former Paris St Germain defender, who cost United £6.9million in July 2004, will only move to a club involved in the Champions League. And as the Toon haven't even qualified for the InterToto, that is another nail in their coffin as they make a move.

Newcastle have bought two players during Sir Alex Ferguson's reign, Keith Gillespie and Nicky Butt. But neither were at their peak and hardly posed any threat to the Mancs in their quest for the Premiership. Although 'Dizzy' was involved in the title charge in 1996 under Kevin Keegan.

Heinze played for his country in their 4-0 Copa America victory over Peru in Venezuela at the weekend.
