Jordan Pickford said he would never do it but now a media exclusive claims Newcastle have made a move for the Sunderland keeper.
A number of players have moved between Sunderland and Newcastle but earlier this month, Jordan Pickford insisted he would ‘never do that’.
According to an ‘exclusive’ in the media today though, Newcastle are going to test that resolve.
‘Newcastle have made a shock raid for Jordan Pickford’ according to The Sun.
They claim in their exclusive that Rafa Benitez has made Pickford one of his main targets this summer and is hoping to sign the player ahead of Everton, with the offer of a long-term contract and £75,000 a week wages.
