Hatem Ben Arfa Substituted Because He Can't Speak English?

Chris Hughton: “He is a new player and he is trying to adapt to the pace of the game.

“He is also trying to adapt to a new language, country and players. It will take a bit of time.

"But what he has got is wonderful ability and he will learn how to get into positions where he can use that ability.

“He will be no different to everybody else. He will go through his ups and downs, and it’s still very much a learning curve for him.”

The fact remains .... against Stoke he was the only player showing any imagination in a five-man midfield bogged down with bodies.

What the hell Hughton is on about: "“He is also trying to adapt to a new language" .... his feet were doing the talking ... what more does he need?

Kevin Nolan has backed Hughton's weird substitutions and strange tactics ... but he would wouldn't he ... he is playing in the position the majority of fans want to see changed.

Without doubt the Geordies are calling for two strikers at home games, and Nolan's position is the one under fire.
