Has Keegan Lost His Way With Owen?

Rob Lee: "I can't believe people write Michael off.

"He's what, 27 or 28? He's had some injuries but Alan Shearer had injuries late in his career and was no worse a player for it.

"With Michael, he needs to be in a team that creates chances and he will score goals. Unfortunately, we haven't got a great team but stick him in our team of the mid-90s and he'd have scored 40-odd goals.

"He's not one of these people who's going to take on three or four players and make a goal for himself. You've got to give him chances.

"I'm not a lover of him playing behind the front striker, that's not his best role. To see him defending is totally foreign.

"It worked in that Kevin got the three players that he wanted out on the pitch to score goals but whether that's a long-term thing I very much doubt.

"He's a striker and he should be playing as a striker."
