The sight of Steven Taylor sitting out training on Friday sparked rumours the defender had been pulled out of the squad for the game against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park ahead of a move to Everton.
However, Taylor didn't train because of an ankle problem, but the 23-year-old travelled to London, AND played against Palace.
Everton have made an enquiry about £10m-rated Taylor, and are expected to be back this coming week.
And - guess what - Burnley are set to try an coax Nicky Butt to Turf Moor.
Will he stay - will he go - who knows, but you can bet Ashley will be adding 'encouragement'.
