Harper: 'Injury Is Not Rocket Science'!

Steve Harper knows first hand the problems a player suffers with a hernia operation. and he insists Michael Owen will be back as strong as ever if he needs an operation.
Steve Harper: "Michael Owen cold not be in better hands. Dr Muschaweck has a fantastic set-up across in Germany.
"It is very professional and like Dr (Richard) Steadman's knee clinic in Colorado, it is world renowned with state-of-the-art facilities.
"If my experience is anything to go by, Dr Muschaweck will have Michael back fully fit and recovered and playing again in the shortest possible time.
"He will be assessed today and if it is a hernia, it will all be done in around an hour.
"I had a double hernia operation last November - one was done one day and the other the following day.
"It is not rocket science - the hernia is simply popped back into place and stitched up again.
"Mine was a double hernia and I was fit again in five weeks.
"But because Shay was injured and I played on mine was way further down the line than Michael is at the moment."
