“The lads were pulling my leg about that calling me the old man – I’m five years older than everybody else now Nicky Butt’s left. Peter Lovenkrands is next now!
“It’s a privilege to be at this club for 20 minutes, never mind the best part of 20 years.
“This is a great football club, and hopefully we can establish it back in the Premier League.
“If you spend 18 or 19 years at any football club you’re going to experience highs and lows. Over the years they’ve been well documented at this football club, and hopefully now we’re steadily on the rise.”
