It was his 16th cap, as Argentina played their final friendly in South America before the start of their World Cup in South Africa on June 12.
Lionel Messi was rested, but Maradona fielded his strongest line-up, with Gutiérrez part of a four-man midfield alongside Liverpool pair Javier Mascherano and Maxi Rodriguez and Palermo's Javier Pastore.
Their World Cup opener is against Nigeria in Johannesburg.
