Apparently the Magpies have identified Germany's superstar Miroslav Klose as the man to replace Alan Shearer!
Shearer says he has been impressed, so it MUST be a good signing. If his club Werder Bremen want to sell, of course.
The Polish-born 28-year-old is hot property, and I'm sure there will be a list of takers if he comes on the market.
