He had to pull out of Cameroon's trip to Kyushu as the Home Office currently have his passport while the paperwork on his British citzenship is processed.

Having lived in the country for five years, the 28-year-old is now eligble for citizenship.

Geremi: "I'm not injured. What happened is that I'm applying for citizenship.

"I've sent my passport and documents to the Home Office, and I can't travel as I don't have a passport.

"I love playing for my country, but it has been taken out of my hands."
