Full back heads for Leeds

The Elland Road outfit are reported to have made an official bid for Paris Saint-Germain full back Didier Domi, although no fee has yet been agreed.

The 25-year-old was a target for Birmingham City in January but the deal fell through at the last minute.

Domi joined us in 1998 in a £4million move from Paris Saint-Germain, and proved to be a typical Gullit signing - talented but couldn’t always be bothered.

After 70 appearances he went back to France and sulked until the club agreed to sell him back to PSG.

He was also the subject of a spectacular Sunday tabloid exclusive, which claimed that he (along with Nicolas Anelka) had joined an extreme religious cult and that the cult’s leader had told him not to return to Newcastle because the city was full of devil worshippers. Probably completely untrue but it amused me anyway!
