The Evening Chronicle says Kevin Keegan may take a second look at the Jermaine Beckford situation following Leeds United's failure to beat Doncaster in yesterday's League One play-off final.

The 24-year-old was linked with a move to St James's Park because former Leeds boss Dennis Wise would like to have him at Newcastle, and as executive director he appears to have a big say.

Beckford has scored just five times since the turn of the year and Leeds fans were rather less than complementary after his poor performance on Sunday, that sees them facing another season of third-flight football.
