Magpies Vs Foxes: Team news & preview

Newcastle United face Leicester City at St James’ Park this afternoon with both teams looking to continue their good recent form.

Eddie Howe spoke in the build up to the game about the possible availability of Joe Willock and Ryan Fraser with both having picked up injuries recently. Willock is back in the squad as a substitute but Fraser has not recovered from the knock he picked up in the win against Wolves last time out.

Leicester City have made a host of changes having come through a tough away tie against PSV in Europe on Thursday evening. Patson Daka starts up fron for the Foxes with Lookman and Perez supporting from the wings. The likes of Maddision, Barnes and Iheanacho will be available from the bench.

Newcastle have slipped up away from St James’ Park recently but last weeks win against Wolves made it four home victories in succession and they have not been beaten in front of the home fans since losing to Manchester City in mid-December.

Leicester are unbeaten in their last six matches in the Premier league and are currently in 9th place with games in hand on the teams around them.
