Carr retired from thegame at the beginning of December at the age of 32, after failing to impress on trial at Watford.

However, sources in Ireland have revealed Carr has recently been considering a return to the game but only as long as he found the right club.

There was talk that Joe Kinnear was ready to offer him a return to the club when the former Wombles boss took over at SJP, but nothing came of it.
