Incredibly, Moore played in Queensland Roar's A-League showdown against Melbourne Victory last Saturday knowing he had cancer.
Former Toon Defender An Inspiration To Us All!
Moore: "I'm hoping that it's only this one international game.
"It was great to be involved again, and I hope that will continue.
"I got through that fairly normally. My football gives me something to focus on."
Father of two, Moore admitted he cried after telling his son Dylan, 10, of his cancer diagnosis.
Moore: "That was probably the one and only time so far that I've been emotional.
"He's at an age now where he has an idea of what's happening. He was hanging on to every word.
"He's 10, going on 20. He had a little cry and a little cuddle and then five minutes later he was out playing with his mates.
"You always think that it's going to be somebody else. At the moment, it still feels like a bit of a dream.
"It doesn't feel real is probably the best way I could describe it.
"I hope I'm back on the training ground and football field doing what I love very quickly."
