Fans threatened to boycott yesterday's Premier League match against Spurs in protest at the Magpies owner's regime, but there were only around 5,000 empty seats when the match kicked off.

Speaking on Five Live today, the former Arsenal and Crystal Palace striker, said:

If they feel that strongly then do something, they’ve got the opportunity to do it. All they’re going is continue to ‘Oh, Mike Ashley….”. Why should Mike Ashley do anything? He’s not getting put under pressure.

Why should Mike Ashley change anything when he knows that you’re all going to turn up because you love the club so much? Stop mouthing off, Newcastle fans, and do something.
