Liam Gibson, 18, of Eastgarth, Newcastle, Lloyd Miller, 19, of Lambley Close, Sunniside, Newcastle, and David Collins of Chiltern Road, North Shields, Newcastle, were all charged with going on to a playing area at a football match.

Accrington fan Daniel Cruickshank, 18, of Church Street, Accrington, Lancashire, was charged with throwing a missile onto the pitch during the tie.

It is understood police tried to arrest him outside the Crown Ground, when officers were attacked.

Jason Graham, 36, of Avenue Parade, Accrington, was charged with being drunk and disorderly, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.

Two other men were given penalty notices for being drunk and disorderly, police said.
