The striker has been braded a ‘fool’ by Chairman Freddie Shepherd for his Sky Sports outburst and his subsequent labelling of Graeme Souness as a ‘liar’.
Bellamy has however not been transfer listed and the situation regarding his future remains unclear. There has predictably been reported interest from elsewhere with Aston Villa and Spurs both linked with an imminent move for the Welshman. Talk of a swap deal with Man.City for Sylvin Distin has also emerged as have reports of a move to former club Norwich City and a move north of the border to Celtic.
Bellamy is refusing to apologise and is quoted as saying, ‘there’s no doubt about it..im out of here’.
