Gazza once described Ferguson as the best player to come through the academy in the last ten years, and Birmingham boss Lee Clark wants him in next season's squad.
Lee Clark: "I have made it common knowledge that I would like to re-sign Ravel Morrison (West Ham) and Shane Ferguson.
"We have registered our interest in bringing those lads back so that's a possibility.
"Ravel and Shane have both indicated to me that they would like to come back.
