Ferdinand Interest? We Told You Three Weeks Ago!

Kevin Keegan knows all about Ferdinand and Alan Curbishley's alleged plan to cash in on a player the Hammer's boss feels could bring a good price.

Anton has lived off his brother Rio's reputation for some time now and never quite reached the heights many said he was capable of.

Average at best, yet some London pressmen feel a change of club is what his career needs.

We know KK has run the rule over him, and now that Richard Dunne is staying at Man City, Ferdinand is an option.

Keegan knows Ferdinand has under-achieved but Newcastle will not pay over the odds for a player West Ham hope to offload for a big money transfer.

Ferdinand insists that he is unaware of any interest from Aston Villa and Newcastle, the two clubs said to be ready to offer him first team fotball.

Ferdinand: "It's just speculation.

"Until I get back to London I don't know what is going on.

"For me personally, until Alan Curbishley says I am not a West Ham player, then I will be a West Ham player. I love playing for the club."

Is he any better than the players we already have at St James' Park?

I don't think so.
