Alan Pardew: “We coped quite well because Huddersfield have some good players.
“Like all the Championship sides it is difficult to know where they are going to finish in the league.
“They could be contenders, they could be good.
“We knew at the weekend that it was going to a tough schedule for the 4 teams involved – back to back is tough.
“We took this game on a Tuesday because it was a fatigue game – for us to play under fatigue.”
