Superb little midfield dynamo, who was a very popular figure with the Toon Army.

He signed from Bournemouth in a deal that took Wayne Fereday the other way - which was a bonus in itself! But Fereday took a long time deciding on a move to the South coast and it was almost called off at the last minute.

Peacock left after the promotion season on compassionate grounds because his wife wanted to return to London because of family difficulties.

And he had a distinguished time at Chelsea.

However it was his time at Loftus Road that (he says) he remembers best.

Peacock: "I spent the longest time at any club with QPR and after having spent two spells there, it's probably QPR who I hold the greatest affinity with."
