The England Under-21 international Gosling has agreed to join Newcastle, and even went to Ireland to hold talks with Chris Hughton.
But United are delaying finalising Gosling’s signing while there is still a chance Everton could win their appeal against the decision that lets the player leave Goodison Park as a free agent following an administrative blunder.
