England Crash In Shock Defeat

In what was a display often brimming with flair and purpose, England were undone by a two-goal salvo from Austrian striker Marc Janko.
However, after being in total command and taking a first-half lead through Carlton Cole, some slack defending after the break allowed Salzburg's Janko to turn the game around. The Chelsea man was also denied a second with a highly-dubious offside decision, which angered Taylor, although the boss was quick to identify his defenders' lack of concentration as the root cause of the defeat.
"I think we defended really poorly for the two goals, I think we went to sleep," Taylor told Sky Sports.
"I think we thought our centre half was going to win the header and I thought we switched off so it made us a little bit nervous."
