Emre Hits Back

 Although this week returned to Turkey (and has not played for Newcastle since his last international appearance), he will not link up with Fatih Terim's squad until Sunday.
He has not featured for United since August 28,  and Souness will be powerless to prevent him from playing should Turkey's medical staff deem him to be fit.
Emre's agent said today: "Whatever happens, both Emre and myself are 100% confident that he will be fit to play in the Wigan match. Missing last weekend's game at Portsmouth was extremely frustrating for him but he will not be suffering the same frustrations at Wigan. He will be out there playing, he is sure of that."
