Dyer has too much to say

One decent performance and Kieron Dyer is back in almost every publication with something to say about the Chelsea game, Patrick Kluivert or Graeme Souness.

Dyer had a fantastic first half on Sunday, his best Newcastle game for a long time. If only he played like that every week, and for ninety minutes.

If he can put together a run of good performances and build upon what was an encouraging first half against Chelsea then Dyer can talk to the papers all he likes.

But, if he merely slips back into his ‘comfort zone’ then we’ll not be happy.

This latest performance, in front of the Sky cameras, and subsequent his press interviews, will no doubt go a long way to secure Dyer’s inclusion in the next few England squads without question.

Let us hope that he performs like an England international for us, instead of the ineffective, overrated waster that have sadly become accustomed to at St.James Park.
