Dutch Eyes On Faltering Krul!

Earlier in the season he was a 'dead cert' for the Netherlands World Cup squad with some of the best performances of his career.

But two weeks ago (during the international break) he was not only dropped from the Dutch team ... but was not even named in the 23.

Tim Krul: “The shot moved a lot in the air. It dipped at the end, but at the end of the day I need to save those.

"I know it’s hard but I think somebody maybe was in my view as well.

“I’m devastated because ten seconds before the goal we had a massive chance to go one up but that’s football.

"They had a few chances so we got away with that. They played well too.

“We won’t let the season fizzle out. The commitment was there.

“It was a hot day but the boys showed their commitment. We had a chance but we missed and they went up the other end and scored.”

Krul cannot afford to let "the season fizzle out" if he wants to achieve his ambition and get to Brazil in June.

Every Premiership game is seen in Holland, and that has been bad viewing in recent months for the youngster.

BUT ... he has enough games before the end of the season to put it right.
