Ryan Taylor: “Nobody expects us to win the league, and there’s no pressure on us whatsoever.

“We can go and enjoy games. The gaffer has his own targets but, as players, you just want to do the best you can.

“We’re in the top four, and a lot of people say we can’t finish there. If we do though, it’s unbelievable.

"We want to get to the targets set and better them, if possible. Then it’ll have been a good season.

“We can’t start looking too far ahead. You wouldn’t look beyond the Chelsea game (on December 3) for instance.

“You have to play these teams regardless, and, at some stage, it’s a 38-game campaign, so you somewhere along the line you’ll meet Man United and Chelsea.

“It’s pointless looking down the fixture list for when we play the teams that have just been promoted, because you have to focus on the next game.

“Doing anything else will give you a false reading of the situation.

“It’s an old cliché to say ‘(take) each game as it comes’, but at this club it seems to be working.”
