But looking to pick the bones out of Chelsea's Champions League defeat to Barcelona, we must give ourselves a fighting chance.
Jose Mourinho accused Barcelona teenager Lionel Messi of being a talented actor after 10-man Chelsea slumped to a 2-1 defeat. The Blues boss was furious to see Asier del Horno sent off for a first-half foul on Messi and called on the media to launch a campaign against the 18-year-old striker.
But the 37th-minute red card was the least Del Horno deserved as he left the ball two yards behind him to launch into the Barca player with only one intent.
Mourinho: "Can Messi be suspended for acting? Barcelona is a very cultural city. You know all about theatre. You have theatres of high quality."
But Chelsea were played off the park, long before the sending off. OK, I think we saw the best club side in the world on Wednesday night, but the way the Blues buckled when put under pressure ... and that horror pitch (like something from the 1970s) ... we have a chance. More than a chance!
